ABOUT LEFT OFF THE DIAL

Left Off The Dial is a weekly/daily e-zine that covers music spanning from classic punk of the late 70's, to 80's indie and college rock, along with artists of the 90's and current artists.  LOTD posts a handful of new album and live show reviews every Monday.  In addition, a new feature article or interview is posted each month.

The links on the green menu to the left contain lists of bands.  Each band has its own page on this site, which includes a short bio, some pictures, a discography, extensive links and reviews from around the internet, and a list of tour-dates.  Some of the more notable, not-so-left off the dial alternative acts are given band pages in an effort to draw visitors to the site via search engines, so that these visitors might then discover the lesser known artists featured here.

The purple menu contains descriptions of and links to mid-Atlantic venues, record stores, radio stations and publications.  There is also extensive information on some notable independent record labels.

LOTD covers issues and opinions surrounding music, with a particular focus on the mid-Atlantic scenes in Virginia, North Carolina, and DC.  If you are an independent musician from the mid-Atlantic region (regardless of genre), LOTD will review any of your recordings upon receiving from you a CD and/or press kit. If you are an independent musician that is not from the mid-Atlantic, please contact us too. However, it might take us a little more time to review your music because of the number of CDs we receive and the size of our staff.  You can contact any member of our staff, or find out what we've been listening to lately by visiting here.  Visit our music submission guidelines page for information about sending us music for review.

Thanks for visiting Left Off The Dial!
