CHRIS SHEPARD (& SIERRA DOG ROMEO)

An acoustic artist on whom the concept of power is not lost, Roanoke, VA's Chris Shepard provides more sheer intensity with his aural assault than any other solo artist you are likely to hear. His music is self described as kinetic rock electrocoustic.  Several songs from the newly released CD, Sin & Tonic are receiving airplay, with the latter being played on The John Boy & Billy Big Show, reaching more than 70 stations and the internet. Chris Henson of The Roanoke Times, says Shepard "uses his six-string as a percussion instrument, and his voice has the crackle of an old radio and the urgency of the Emergency Broadcast System.  Each original song is a litany of raw nerves and haggard emotions."
