Dead Meadow: Got LIVE If You Want It

This DC based trio has been kicking out the jams a la Blue Cheer and Black Sabbath for the last couple of years. Their first two albums via Tolotta Records were of the less is better approach, being recorded cheaply and simply on an 8-track recorder in their practice space or a barn. The result has summoned the age old argument: Yeah, those records that band made rock, but they are nowhere near as good as they are live. So while we all patiently sit on our hands for the groups Matador Records debut, the band has made a move to silence their detractors and bring the real shit to us all on this live disc. Recorded at the legendary Maxwells in Hoboken, Dead Meadow brings the pain. This album is just as essential as their first two proper full lengths, and undoubtedly as essential as will be their upcoming studio album.
