Gerling: Bad Blood!!!
[Fenway]

Gerling is so good and you dont even know, but you will! You should probably go buy their album, Bad Blood!!!, right at this very minute. It will make you happy, and you will want to shake your ass and kiss people!

Their beats are infectious.  The music is a mix of nothing new, but its done in an incredibly fresh manner, sounding new and better than anything I have heard in a while. In case you hadnt noticed, I am totally mad about this trio of Australian boys.  The singer is clever and snotty, which is very good stuff when talking about bitchin rock music.  The band as a whole is animated in concert and is loads of fun, and that shines through on this recording.

This release comes along at the end of a long line of other albums by Gerling.  I must definitely go and buy the single for Whos Your Daddy? It is the silliest song on the album and by far one of my favorites.  There is a millisecond of sound that sounds much like an over-hyped NY bands hit song that rhymes with surge which I think is a funny and an in your face type of move mostly because Gerlings Bad Blood!!! is everything they want to be.  Not to mention the single has the track Deepfryer (Ol), which Gerling performed when I saw them in New York a couple of months ago. That was also a great song, and I hope its as good without the stage theatrics and such.

Truth be told, there is only one track on this record I dont much care for, but who really cares? I certainly dont.  I look forward to many more dance-punk-distortion-love songs from Gerling.  Ol!
