Paloalto: Fade Out/In (UK Single)

Fade Out/In, the first track on this three song sampler from Paloaltos debut album, Heroes And Villains, sounds like Radiohead caught between The Bends and OK Computer.  Its almost creepy how much this guy sounds like Thom Yorke, to the point where its still all I can think about every time I hear the song.

The second offering, Throwing Stones, sounds like a cross between Radiohead and Travis.  Pick Yourself off the Beach, the last of the three, just sounds like Travis.

Rick Rubins production is crisp as always, but one wonders why hes involved with a band that sounds so derivative of their contemporaries across the pond. 

As an added bonus, computer owners will get to watch one of the most generic black and white performance videos ever trapped on film.  Do yourself a favor and dont bother.
