Regan: Today (single)
[Oh-live!]

Regan's CD single, "Today," is a musical teaser for an upcoming DVD release.  The interplay between Regan and her bandmates - Curtis Fye on bass, Andrew Winn on guitar, and Robby Sinclair on drums - is apparent from the start on this upbeat tune.  Regan's vocal ability is impressive; she is capable of such a powerful performance despite her tiny frame.  Her voice always surprises me with its easy-going style that keeps her from over-singing or under-singing the lyrics of her music.  After seeing Regan play with her full band this past winter, I have to admit that a single song cannot do justice to these high caliber musicians; nevertheless, "Today" is a great song with a catchy melody that sticks in your head long after listening.  On this single, Regan continues to bring her music to another level, and I have to say that the addition of Curtis Fye on bass seems to be in correlation with the continuing evolution.  I like this song, and it certainly makes me look forward quite anxiously to the DVD release.  Regan is a talented singer and songwriter, and her music just keeps getting better.
