TEMPORARY BASEMENT

Temporary Basement, a power pop-punk band from Washington DC, started around the end of July 1994, when Mike Favila got his first guitar for a birthday. Emil picked up drums that October, Erik played guitar that November, and Kevan played some guitar in December. Chris still hadn't picked up keys but sang with the band. TB recorded a five song demo at in Summer 1997 at Triskadekaphonic, with Bill Henson. The band recorded five songs in about five hours. That session yielded Limbo (Pandora's Box), which was on the Vast Records compilation, Here You Me!. Weezer, and other great bands like Kara's Flowers, that dog, and Ozma also contributed tracks. That CD came out sometime in December 1997. The band went into Neptune Studios on July 10 to record basic tracks, along with Kevan's vocals that night. The TBCD came out in late February of the next year. A review of the TB's most current release is found below.
