THE BILLION

The Chapel Hill, NC based group, formed in 1999, is named for the famous Carl Sagan misquote "Billions and Billions." Comprised of Kirk Bryson, Paula Childers, and Bruce Stevens, The Billion has forged a unique and eclectic sound. Raleighmusic.com described them as a "crisp, clean, engergetic, fun and quirky three-piece." One fan dubbed their music "rock with deviations." These deviations include stylistic forays into funk, folk, country, rap, and polka. A LEFT OFF THE DIAL review of Aisle 5 can be found below.
