Third Grade Teacher: Self-Titled
[Pinch Hit]

Third Grade Teacher is Sabrina Stevenson, David Guerrero, Laura Smith, and Rob Ahlers.  Together they play schoolhouse rock.  Most of the songs are pretty lame, like "Schoolboy" and "Conductor Semiconductor" where Sabrina tries to deliver a "bad girl" attitude, but it seems to fall short.

The songs that aren't taking a shot at "balls to the wall" rock are pretty good in that Wayne's World sort of way.  "So Long" is easily my favorite track of the 11-song CD. Sabrina proves that she can actually sing here, and not just growl out hollow threats.  For the most part this album is pretty straightforward garage rock the way a bar would like it.  These guys could tour with Aerosmith, and the 40-somethings in the crowd would love it.

In a nutshell, I would describe this CD as the following: "Classic Rock that sometimes comes off a bit fake, but definitely has it's moments of swellness."  That said, the CD is enhanced, and comes with videos.  The videos are well done, but oh-so-cheesy.  Maybe they wanted it that way.
