YUMA HOUSE

In past years, the music scene in the nation's capital has always been something stand up and take notice of, and the modern rock alterna-pop quartet Yuma House shows that music in Washington DC is still alive and well.  Performing together since 1995, Yuma House put forth its first full length, self-titled album in 1998.  These computer-savvy musicians took full advantage of the Internet's ability to expose independent artists by releasing their songs in mp3 format on various music websites.  The right people took notice; Yuma House became one of the first bands signed to the new record label owned by Garageband.com.  In 2001, the band released Future Perfect with the aid of the new label for distribution, and the EP has been met with friendly reception from DC area critics and college radio.
